Dhaka condemns Benghazi attack

Bangladesh on Wednesday condemned the terrorist attack in Benghazi that killed the US Ambassador to Libya along and three other US officials.

In a condolence message, Foreign Minister Dipu Moni said: "We strongly condemn the recent terrorist attack in Benghazi that killed US Ambassador Christopher Stevens and other officials."

"Bangladesh rejects such cowardice and mindless killings in the name of religion or any other cause or ideology, and denounces terrorism in all its forms and manifestations."

"We express our deepest sympathies to the bereaved families of Ambassador Stevens and his colleagues," Moni was further quoted as saying the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a media statement.

"Bangladesh stands by the US in this hour of grief and mourning," she added.
